Greek buyers are paying US$ 19.3 million for Teekay Suezmax “ISKMATI SPIRIT” (165,293 tdw, Built 2003 Hyundai Samho H.I., B&W – next dd 11/2020).
 
U.S.based Concord Maritime is making its first purchase with the acquisition of Arcadia’s “AEGEAN BLUE” (115,878 tdw, Built 2007 Samsung H.I., MAN-B&W) at a reported US$ 22 million. The vessel has been delivered this week, ie the purchase was made several weeks ago. Concord is believed to be taking the sister “AEGEAN NOBILITY” (also 2007) as well.
 
Sonap is selling Cap 1 rated Aframax “CABO TAMAR” (105,778 tdw, Built 2004 Sumitomo, Sulzer) to Greek buyers for around US$ 17 million with ss/dd recently passed and BWTS installed.
 
A price of US$ 18.7 million has been agreed for LR1 “GULF CASTLE” (74,999 tdw, Built 2009 Hyundai Mipo, MAN-B&W). Unconfirmed reports name International Seaways as the buyer.
 
Sinokor is selling IMO III “LIBERTY” (46,803 tdw, Built 2004 Hyundai Mipo, epoxy, 12 tanks/pumps, B&W) for US$ 9 million with ss/dd due 2/2020.
 
At a judicial sale in Singapore via sealed bid, “MEGACORE HONAMI” (36,955 tdw, Built 2010 Hyundai Mipo, IMO II, coated epoxy phenolic, 12 tanks/pumps, MAN-B&W) obtained a price of US$ 13.3 million.
 
 
 
 
Bulkcarriers:
 
The BDI dipped by 203 points to end the week at 1355 (1558). Cape daily t/c lost US$ 5,702 from last week’s US$ 23,704, closing at US$ 18,002. Only Panamaxes showed gains for the week.
 
Cape size “GOTIA” (178,010 tdw, Built 2012 SWS, MAN-B&W) attracted half a dozen buyers to inspect; sale was concluded to Enterprises Shipping and Trading at US$ 23 million.
 
Ukrainian buyers are paying US$ 15.8 million for “GRAND THALIA” (115,429 tdw, Built 2011 Shanghai Jiangnan Changxing H.I., Wartsila).
 
Chinese are paying US$ 7.9 million for Tankerska Plovidba’s “BIOGRAD” (37,729 tdw, Built 2010 Jiangsu Eastern H.I., cranes 4 x 30 tons, Wartsila ss due 4/2020).
      
Three rarities, bulkcarriers built in India, have been sold by the Clipper Group. “CLIPPER TENACIOUS” (30,634 tdw, Built 2007 Cochin Shipyard, cranes 4 x 30 tons, MAN-B&W) and sister “CLIPPER TRUST” (also 2007) have obtained US$ 5.85 million each, “CLIPPER TARGET” (2006 but with better class position) was concluded at US$ 6.3 million. The first two went to Vietnamese buyers, the third may have as well.
 
A trio of vintage singledeckers has been sold by Inui Steamship to buyers in China. They are “KEN YU” (24,115 tdw, Built 1999 Saiki H.I., 4HH, cranes 4 x 30 tons, Mitsubishi) and 1997-built sisters “KEN SAN” and “KEN TEN”; agreed price US$ 8.5 million en bloc for the three.

TS Lines is paying US$ 12.2 million for Panamax beam “ROBIN HUNTER” (4,380 TEU,
54,278 tdw, Built 2010 Daewoo, MAN-B&W).
 
“CFS PACATU” (1,118 TEU, 13,872 dwt, Built 2004 Jinling, cranes 2 x 45 tons, MAN) is changing hands for US$ 2 million.
 
 
 
 
 
 
NEWBUILDING
 
VLCCs – two of 318,600 dwt for Maran Tankers at Daewoo, price about US$ 95 million each, delivery mid 2021.
 
LR2 tankers – Navig8, in a joint venture with CSIC Leasing has ordered two option two LNG dual-fuel 110,000 dwt tankers at Qingdao Beihai, delivery FH 2020. Price is estimated to be in the high US$ 50 millions each.
 
LNG – one of 174,000 cbm for Maran Gas at Daewoo, price US$ 190 million, delivery early 2022. Also one of 174,000 cbm for H-Line Korea at Hyundai Samho, delivery end 2021, price US$ 181 milion; intended for 10 year timecharter to Vitol.
 
LPG – Byzantine Maritime, Greece has contracted for two of 38,000 cbm, price US$ 46.9 million each, delivery SH 2021.
 
Coal carriers – two of 89,000 dwt at Oshima for a/c Mitsui OSK for import of coal for domestic power companies in Japan.
